Unconditional Belonging & Collective Perspectives

Guidelines

How to Participate in a Wider Embraces Online Meeting

Please read these guidelines before your first meeting. When everyone is prepared, we will all enjoy a better experience.

The Purpose – Our Vision

We gather for the future of life on planet Earth.

We participate with an open mind and heart, allowing our experiences from our wider Embraces to change our worldview and how we act in the world.

Psychological and Personal Issues

If you are having mental health issues, please consult a professional and talk to the guide beforehand.

The guides will, of course, do their best to keep everyone safe. However, you are responsible for taking care of yourself.

Some Experience of Inner Focus is Great

It’s an advantage if you have some experience of being silent and aware of your emotions and bodily sensations. But you can also use the Wider Embraces as a training tool to develop these capacities.

Before the Meeting

Prepare Yourself!

If everyone is prepared, we will all enjoy a better meeting.

Join Clear and Sober – If you are not feeling well or are under the influence of drugs, please don’t join.

Private Place – Find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. If more than one person is joining from one location, please sit in separate rooms. Forming groups within the group is not beneficial for either you or the shared process.

Use a headset – This reduces the noise from your environment from being broadcast to everyone. Using a headset will also give you a feeling of having the other voices inside your head, which adds to the experience.

Use a webcam – The Wider Embraces is about the collective, and it is easier for us to enter into the Embraces together if we can see each other during parts of the call.

Check your connection – Ensure that your internet connection and the Zoom platform are working correctly. You can test Zoom here.

Mute everything – Turn off the sound on your phone and programs on your computer that might interrupt you, and keep yourself muted when not speaking.

Join on time – We start on the minute; if you are late, join silently. If you need to leave early, please notify us in the chat and exit quietly.

During the Meeting

A Wider Embraces meeting usually lasts for a bit more than an hour.

One Guide – Everyone Contributing

One person leads the meeting and guides us out into our wider Embraces, and everyone contributes.

Check-in – Share One Thing

We may start with a brief check-in to strengthen the sense of we and give everyone the opportunity to be heard.

Sharing Our Experiences

During the session, the guide may occasionally invite the participants to share their experiences. By sharing our experiences, we help each other sense and navigate our wider Embraces.

Every session and every person is unique, so whatever you feel and experience is true and valid for you right there and then. However, not everything you experience is helpful to our collective process. If you are new to the Wider Embraces, please listen to the more experienced participants for several sessions before sharing during the guided Embrace.

If you gain insights or have aha-moments, share them afterwards.

Don’t Project Your Humanness onto the Embraces

We can never know what it's like to be the Embrace of the Biosphere or the Planet, not even the Embrace of our family.

We humans are separate entities with brains living inside time, relating to the world conditionally. The Embraces are perspectives in the timeless Now relating to its parts unconditionally.

Descernment is essential – What is the Embrace, and what are my projections?

Avoid spiritual language

We use the scientific map to navigate our wider Embraces, and we avoid all kinds of religious and spiritual interpretations and language.

The Wider Embraces is a method to evoke specific types of perspectives and experiences; this doesn’t mean that other perspectives and experiences are not true and real, they are just not part of the Wider Embraces.

Your Privacy is Safe

The perspective as an Embrace doesn’t have access to the inner content of its parts. Just like you don’t know what your kidneys are aware of. If someone shares something personal during a session, don’t share it outside the session.

Reflecting Together After the Session

At the end of the meeting, there will be time for reflections, sharing and questions.

A Life-long Journey

Practising and understanding our wider Embraces is a lifelong path.

Keep the beginner's mind even as you become more experienced.

The Wider Embraces is a work in progress, and reality is complex. We all add to the development.
